Winter Melon Ham Soup with Jill’s Hams

đź§‚ Ingredients:

  • 300g Jill’s Sausages Smoked Chicken Ham, sliced into thick strips or cubes

  • 500g winter melon, peeled and cubed

  • 5–6 red dates (optional, for sweetness)

  • 10g goji berries (optional, for added nutrition)

  • 1.2 litres chicken stock or water

  • 1 slice ginger

  • Salt, to taste

  • White pepper, to taste

  • Chopped spring onions for garnish (optional)

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep the Ingredients

    • Rinse and soak red dates and goji berries if using.

    • Peel and cube the winter melon into bite-sized pieces.

    • Cut Jill’s Ham into hearty strips or chunks.

  2. Simmer the Soup

    • In a pot, bring the chicken stock or water to a gentle boil.

    • Add ginger, winter melon, red dates, and Jill’s Ham.

    • Lower the heat and let it simmer for 20–25 minutes, until the winter melon turns translucent.

  3. Final Touches

    • Add goji berries and simmer for another 5 minutes.

    • Season with salt and white pepper to taste.

  4. Serve Hot

    • Ladle into bowls, garnish with chopped spring onions, and enjoy warm.
